 | Subject: Fuel on Zoom Delayed 20/12/2009, 20:22 | |
| We have a 2-4 second delay on our Zoom Screens when our drivers refuel. We have it set to direct connection, and all the tracks are on an isolated network switch from the rest of the store, so I don't think it's network traffic. Anyone else notice these delays? Any tips? It relay is noticeable when going for a full tank, the main PC says "GO" about 2-3 seconds before the zoom screen shows go and full. |

We have always noticed a delay in the Zoom View when refueling. I recall about a 1-2 second delay, but I don't recall ever experiencing a 4 second delay. Note that there is also a relationship between the numerical fuel level display and the graphical fuel display.
Are you referring to a delay in the numerical digit display and the audible "go" .wav?
I usually inform new drivers to take off out of the pits when the numerical display shows 90-95 (out of 100 litre tank). Likewise, when we set the maximum fuel tank at 50, I usually take off from the pits when the digits read 45.
If you are focusing on the fuel gauge graphics, note that the fuel gauge graphics are currently made up of nine different ".gif" files. Two of these .gif files represent an empty tank and a full tank, so the best resolution you are going to get between Empty and Full graphically are eight positions or 12.5% increments.
You can play with the refuel rate and maximum tank levels so that the numerical display more closely matches the graphical display.

| Were noticing a delay between the audable "GO" and the Zoom Screen Showing "GO" (and 100/100, and full gauge). |

| For the "GO" event you can have a delay of 1 to 2 seconds but i think i can eliminate that delay with a little modification, i will make some test and return to you soon. |
