PostSubject: BUG? Scalextric C7042 Reduced speed in pit lane [fixed 5.39d]   18/7/2016, 21:55

We have the speed in the pit lane set to 50%.  Last race night we used some cherished scratchbuilt 1930s models that we didn't want to race too fast, so we set the maximum racing speed to 25%, which was plenty.

However, as soon as we entered the pit lane, the speed of the car doubled (i.e. increased from 25% power to 50% power) but surely the speed should have halved (i.e. 50% of the current power setting = half of 25% equals 12.5%).

If it's not supposed to do that, then this looks like a bug.
If it is supposed to do that, then I guess this is an enhancement request - the restriction in the pit lane should be a percentage of the current maximum speed, or else you have the result like the above where cars can drive faster in the pits than the track!

A couple of separate enhancement requests:
- would it be possible to have a slider next to the Power On/Off button that allows setting everything to 25%, 50% etc of maximum power
- it's useful to be able to set a lower power of a driver i.e. for children, but it would also be useful to set the power for cars too

Thank you,

James

Guy,

That's great, thanks.

Would it be possible to add a global power level setting too that affected everything?

Yes it's possible but i suggest you to put your demand in the demand section of this forum so if other users are interested it will increase the chance that your demand will be developped.
