Subject: SCX digital with 9 drivers 26/1/2011, 14:20
Hi Guy. I need some help to set up a SCX Digital race. Let's say we got 9 drivers who has to rotate between the 6 cars I have for my SCX Digital race track. How do I do this?
Each time I try to set it up, the cars follows the drivers or I just get one race which is okay since the drivers just can move one place to the right for the next race, but I guess the pclapcounter can figure this out for us.

2 possibilities:
use this example: http://pclapcounter.winnerbb.net/t384-12-drivers-on-4-lanes-cars-track-using-heat-editor (remember that for a digital track "lane" mean car ID). The heat editor will generate heat so each driver will race on all lanes (all car ID) but as you say the car name follow the driver and therefore during the race you will have to change the car name of the drivers after each heat by using the "update" button

Thanks, worked this out now. It will be 9 or 18 races. 9 races if I only set the drivers to drive each car. 18 if I set the drivers to drive each car but also against all drivers.

Hello Guy,
I have downloaded the trial version of your software and looks great. However I do have one question, which is regarding this topic.
I personally find Option 2 too cumbersome. The PC I would actually use the PC Lap Counter software does not have excel, which means that I would have to do it on another machine and then put on a USB stick.
So I am leaning on option 1, once I actually figure out how to do that.
Anyway, here is the question or request... When I click "New Race", then "Generate" and the "Generate" button, the software creates the segments based on the number of drivers /lanes/cars as it should. In this same screen, there is a "Generated Heats" pane. Since the software uses only the cars from the driver's favorites, I would like to be able to edit the segments here instead in between each. Does this make sense? Is it possible? When I do try to change one of the segments, they all change. It would be great of this did not happen.

Thanks for the very quick response, but I am not sure I understand.
In the example you show, Arias' Favorite car is the "BAR" and Ben'S favorite is "Audi R10"
It looks like what you did was change Ben's car in heat 2 to the "Aston". The problem for me is that if you now look at heat 1, the car is now changed to "Aston" as well, where I would have expected it to remain the Audi R10.
In other words, every time you change the car of a driver in any heat, the software changes the driver's car in all heats, not just that one particular heat. What I am looking for is that the Lane/ID has the same car in each heat, no matter who the Driver is.
So Basically Ben should drive in; Heat 1: Audi R10 Heat 2: Audi Heat 3: BMW 676 Heat 4: lola knighthawk

Hello Guy,
I noticed another slight problem. You may call it a bug, which I feel bad about because it is likely caused by this request.
So here is the problem. When I generate heats, I can now specify one car per Lane for all Heats. So, Car "A" is always in lane "1". Car "b" is always in Lane "2" and so on.
However, when I start the race, segment one, looks perfect. But segment 2, then has car "A" in both Lanes 1 and 2. If I run the next segment, then Car A is in the first three lanes and so on.
Somehow, somewhere, someway the car to settings seem to be mixed up.
